The Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) consists of a series of short nap periods during which your brain waves are monitored to determine if you fall asleep and if you do fall asleep do you enter into REM sleep. The test normally follows a nocturnal sleep study and in the morning the technician removes some of the wires from the sleep study. You will be asked to remain awake between the nap periods. The nap periods will occur every two hours until the test is completed. The staff at Georgetown Sleep Center will go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and we will even provide your meals during your stay.
